Lithuania hands note to Belarus over Astravyets N-plant, turns to Brussels for help

Lithuania's government on Thursday gave a note to the Belarusian embassy regarding the most recent incident at the Astravyets Nuclear Power Plant being built in Belarus near the Lithuanian border, turning to Brussels with a plea for the European Union to get involved in the situation. Belarus' charge d'affaires Lyudmila Tatarinovich was summoned to the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.
