Lithuania earmarks €7,000 for monument to commemorate deportees

The Lithuanian Government says it intends to contribute to the construction of a deportee memorial monument in the Russian city of Tomsk. Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry said it would earmark 7,000 Euros for the production, transportation and erection of the monument, in addition to the funds planned for the unveiling ceremony.
