As a painter, arts manager, politician, and now Lithuania’s top diplomat at UNESCO, 47-year-old Arunas Gelunas deals with culture and creativity, he underscores, almost on a daily basis. “Some kind of ‘artistic thinking’ is absolutely central in novel situations, where one has to try to think ‘outside the box,’” Gelunas is convinced.
