LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Wake up!
I walked some relatives round the Old Town in Vilnius on May 1st. By mid afternoon the streets were absolutely packed with visitors, yet, imagine my surprise on discovering that, with the exception of food shops, nearly every single retail shop was closed for the Holiday.
Haven’t these shop owners ever heard of the old American maxim always to... go fishing when the fish are biting. What a missed opportunity.

Bronze soldier
I’ve read an article and comment about Russian population in Estonia. Amazing how somebody whom isn’t familiar with subject can write such stories.
To start with Bronze soldier story: it was decided long ago that it’ll be replaced into war cemetery. All sides new that & it wasn’t done to offend somebody. The Russians whom rioted for days after in Tallinn didn’t represent all Russians in Estonia. Estonia wasn’t viewed badly in World’s media. West learn a good lesson about what extent of criminality Kremlin’s are ready to go in order to shake stability in Estonia. The cyber attack: NATO learned valuable info. The Putin’s Government in Moscow abusing Estonian Embassy. It was an eye opener to the world.
Mr.Valur Gunnarsson as an outsider is trying to say that Estonians should grant all Russians citizenship: only naive can say such a thing. We can’t force citizenship to anybody. If person wants it then he/she applies for it and does language exam. It’s vital for having our culture and language live, not suffocated by Russia and Russians. With all respect Mr.Gunnarsson: all Russian know that they can have good life in Estonia if they wish to integrate.
How can Baltic Times post something like the opinion article: was it worth; It was very incompetent.

Latvian hockey
Halifax is totally blown away by the Latvian presence here for the IIHF Men’s Worlds. I am a Canadian and I always believed that we, Canadians, are the most loyal and supportive hockey fans anywhere in the world but I have learned a valuable lesson this week...I AM WRONG!! The Latvian supporters have come out by the thousands and have put us Canadians to shame with their drums, singing and never-ending support for their country’s national hockey team! I think Canadian fans are more concerned about coaching and criticizing from the stands instead of being boisterous and loud and cheering for the home team. Looks good on you guys...GO LATVIA!!!!

Osho fans
My ire is targeted at your article “Oh no, it’s Osho: a villain speaks from beyond the grave” by Talis Saule Archdeacon.
I’d humbly request you not to poke your nose into the matters you might have no information about. The language Talis Saule Archdeacon speaks is that of typical anti-Osho propagandists, most of who are past Oshoites, who carry bitterness because of their own failures.
Osho Rajneesh is not all about only the so-called Oregan fiasco. He had already established himself as a thought provoking guru in India, years before he traveled to Oregan. He spent several years back in Pune, India, after returning back from the U.S.A and his discourses are not just limited to his time spent there.
The Oregon fiasco itself was the handiwork of some of his lawless disciples, who had started deceiving even Osho by the time the unsavory events began unfolding. I’d further add the opinion expressed by “A” in the above mentioned article, falls closer to the reality about Osho, and this I say as a neutral observer, who has spent years reading and brainstorming about him in India.
Kindly, keep away from making such impulsive reporting. You will be doing a great disservice to many who might benefit from Osho’s words, but will panic now reading Talis’ foolish anti overtures! Hurt but not that I wouldn’t say...Warm Regards,

Conspiracy Theory?
FBI overt operations in Latvia signal the beginning of the corruption of the government there by American intelligence agencies; many good and innocent people are targeted by FBI/CIA for imprisonment, torture, forced suicide and death everywhere the FBI/CIA operate.
As people discover the immoral, cowardly and macabre character of the agents, operatives, handlers and associates of the FBI/CIA as manifest globally in the killing and torture techniques used by these sociopath assassins to insure compliance to now dictates we may not reasonably expect a merciful redress from foreign and domestic freedom fighters forced from desperation to employ against us equally aggressive and abhorrent stratagems.
