On Tuesday a high-ranking official of the Financial Police of the Latvian State Revenue Service committed suicide, the State Revenue Service confirmed to BNS.
According to the State Police, the body of a 49-year old man was found in his place of residence in Jurmala, Latvia on Tuesday.
The police have launched a criminal investigation, but so far there is no reason to think that a crime has been committed. The cause of death is believed to be suicide.
