Government endorses air transport agreement with Chile

RIGA - Latvia will sign an air transport agreement with Chile, the Cabinet of Ministers decided Tuesday. 

The Transport Ministry said that the agreement provides the opportunity to launch regular commercial air transport services between Latvia and Chile. Also, Latvian and Chilean carriers will be able to conclude agreements on flights in their route networks. 

The signing of the bilateral agreement will provide a legal framework for the provision of air transport services between Latvia and Chile, thus strengthening the competitiveness of the Latvian aviation industry and providing new economic growth opportunities. 

Latvia and Chile plan to sign the agreement at the ICAO Air Services Negotiation (ICAN2021) Event, which will take place from December 6 to 10 in Bogota, Colombia.
