Foreign Minister expresses Latvia’s interest in signing a bilateral air transport agreement with Senegal

RIGA - On Wednesday in New York, during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgars Rinkevics, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Senegal, Aissata Tall Sall, and discussed bilateral relations as well as cooperation in international organizations, LETA was informed by the Foreign Ministry.

The Minister expressed Latvia’s intention to strengthen the political dialogue and promoting the exchange of visits with Senegal. Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs would make it possible to identify concrete areas of cooperation.

“Our country is interested in concluding of a bilateral air transport agreement with Senegal. Latvia is closely following Senegal’s presidency of the African Union and is prepared to dynamize relations with that organization,” Rinkevics said.

The Latvian Foreign Minister invited the Foreign Minister of Senegal to visit Latvia.
