In the first four months of this year the average monthly salary of teachers of municipal schools in Estonia was 1,135 euros, which marks a year-on-year rise of 6.3 per cent.
According to data of the educational statistics website HaridusSilm.ee, the salary of teachers was highest in the Sauga, Saue, and Nova rural municipalities and the city of Narva, where it exceeded 1,300 euros. Teachers in the Tootsi and Raikkula municipalities received lowest salaries of around 900 euros.
