TALLINN - The Estonian minister of education and research, Mailis Reps, and the Serbian minister of education, science and technological development, Mladen Sarcevic, will meet in Tallinn on Thursday to discuss cooperation possibilities in education and research between the two countries.

The Estonian minister described the meeting, the first ever meeting between the education ministers of Estonia and Serbia, as the next important step towards bilateral cooperation in education.

"I expect to share Estonia's experiences in educational innovation, implementation of digital solutions and teacher training. On the other hand, I am really interested in how Serbia's education system has developed," Reps said according to spokespeople.

Estonian experts will introduce to the Serbian delegation Estonia's experiences in the digital transformation of education and Estonia's higher education and vocational education training system. The integration of extracurricular activities and integration of formal and non-formal education will also be discussed.

The Serbian minister will be accompanied by officials and the Serbian ambassador to Estonia, Sasa Obradovic. The delegation will also visit the Innove foundation and the Information Technology Foundation for Education.
