TALLINN – Jaan Mannik, former governor of the Bank of Estonia, is running on the list of  the Conservative People's Party (EKRE) in next spring's parliamentary elections, the party said.

"My world-view is national conservative. There is no other party in Estonia besides EKRE who engages in national conservative politics," Mannik said at EKRE's summer days on Saturday in Polva.

Mannik, born in 1945, has worked in Canada, in Sweden and in Estonia since 1991, including as governor of the Bank of Estonia and in other management positions.
