Following a meeting with the country’s mayors on April 28, 2016 in Vilnius, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite called for the municipality heads to be more proactive in tackling those with social problems living in their municipalities.
"We do have very nice examples, but we also see some indifference,” she said following the meeting at the Presidential Palace in the Lithuanian capital.
“I am calling on the heads of municipalities not to wait until people come to them for help, as many wouldn't.
