Dadzite wins gold in women's javelin throw at Paralympics

RIGA - Latvia's Diana Dadzite set a new world record in the women's javelin throw at the Rio Paralympic Games on Saturday, scoring Latvia's second gold medal at the Games. Dadzite hurled her javelin 23.26 metres. The previous record in the F55 group was set in 1999, at 22.71 metres. President Raimonds Vejonis and Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis (Greens/Farmers) have congratulated Latvia's Diana Dadzite on her win.
