RIGA - Defense Minister Raimonds Bergmanis has endorsed the National Armed Forces' Joint Headquarters Commander Leonids Kalnins for the Latvian chief of defense.
Bergmanis notified President Raimonds Vejonis about the candidate during a meeting Tuesday morning. It is possible that Kalnins also took part in the meeting.
