Great Britain is committed to Article 5 of the NATO Treaty, meaning that aggression against Latvia would also be aggression against the UK, British Ambassador to Latvia Tim Colley stated at the Adazi military training ground yesterday.
The British diplomat indicated in his speech that the UK is and will be Latvia's most powerful defense partner. Colley commented on the Brexit vote, emphasising that Britain’s vote to leave the EU does not mean that it is abandoning Europe, as NATO will continue to be the UK's security priority.
