RIGA - Other than an initial kerfuffle with a clumsy and haphazard parking system at the Latvian National Library, this year’s Human Development Award on Friday, April 15 proved to be a sparkling success.
It is the third annual award of its kind in Latvia, and this year’s three winners were Zigmunds Zalenko of Accenture Latvia; the Children’s Palliative Care Society; and Andris Berzins, co-founder of TechHub Riga.
Overall 63 nominations, the all-time highest number, were received from across Latvia.
