Today 18 asylum seekers arrive in Latvia from Greece under the international relocation programme, including six underaged children, LETA learned from the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs. Additionally, seven new refugees arrived in Lithuania on Monday evening, Interior Minister Tomas Zilinskas confirmed.
So far Latvia has taken in a total of 47 persons under the EU relocation programme.
Three Syrian families arrived in Latvia on Tuesday morning and have been taken to the refugee centre in Mucenieki.
