RIGA – This year 13 schools will be liquidated across Latvia and some 50 educational institutions reorganized, according to the information provided by the Education and Science Ministry.
A decision about liquidation on one more school is still in progress, and thus, the total number of liquidated schools could reach 14.
Meanwhile, 11 educational institution will change the level of education.
The decisions on reorganization, liquidation of opening of educational institutions are made by local governments. The Education and Science Ministry then authorizes the local government’s decision.
